Brian Dumbill appointed SVP and Chief Risk Officer for VFS

With effect from July 1st Brian will be responsible for managing global risk strategies across the VFS organization.

Volvo Financial Services (VFS) has announced that Brian Dumbill has been appointed Chief Risk Officer. In this role, Brian will be responsible for managing the global portfolio, asset management and remarketing, operational control, and enterprise risk management for the company.

He will be a member of the VFS Executive Management Team.

“In his new role, Brian will develop plans to mitigate risk in alignment with our business needs and objectives, and implement global risk management strategies,” says Marcio Pedroso, President Volvo Financial Services. “He will also oversee the VFS risk and credit approval process and business line management through transaction assessment and structuring support. I’m very pleased to have such a seasoned and talented colleague in this key role.”

Brian has 29 years of leadership and financial services experience in the Volvo Group. Prior roles include SVP & Global CFO for VFS, SVP & CFO for VFS APAC, VP Controller & Operational Compliance for VFS Headquarters, VP Finance for VFS EMEA, and most recently, Acting President & VP Finance for VFS Americas.

Brian has a Bachelor of Arts in Combined Studies from Bulmershe College in the UK. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the UK, as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is fluent in English and Portuguese. Brian will remain based in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA and report to Marcio Pedroso.
